At first it seems like pure insanity. The Democrats want to run Janet Reno against Jeb Bush for governor of Florida. Janet Reno was Clinton's Attorney General. She should have prevented the Waco massacre from happening. Reno stonewalled a multitude of investigations against Bill Clinton, ranging from Whitewater felonies to nuclear weapon treason in the China-gate scandal. Last, but not least Reno had machine gun-toting Federal agents smash into a home in Miami to grab a little boy at gunpoint on Lenin's birthday to send him back to Communist Cuba. Why did the Democrats choose Reno for governor? Was O.J. Simpson unavailable? It may be useful to analyze this choice to understand how the enemy operates.

The most likely explanation is that Janet Reno is being rewarded for saving Clinton from dozens of criminal prosecutions. Janet Reno repeatedly used her position as Attorney General to obstruct justice to save Clinton. A secondary reason may be that the Democrats need a "reliable" Democrat running Florida, who can "find" a few extra Democrat votes during a close election like the last Presidential race. It is safe to assume that the Democrat Party did not consider outstanding character and humanitarian achievements as key factors in selecting a candidate for governor of Florida.

Another possible reason for choosing Reno for governor is that the Democrats have had great success running women candidates. All they need to do is put a female candidate up for senator and they win almost every time. It seems like the Democrats could put Stalin in a skirt (or Hillary) as a candidate for senator and still win an election. There are no less than ten female Democrat senators at this time. Some of the female Democrat senators are about as intelligent as a pencil eraser. (Rush Limbaugh recently did a show on Barbara Boxer and Patty Murray that pretty well explains it.) Barbara Boxer and Patty Murray don't seem to have anything going for them besides their gender. (To be fair, Democrat Senator Ron Wyden seems equally mentally challenged. During a surprise pop quiz on TV, Wyden refused even to guess a variety of basic questions about Oregon, including: naming the biggest employer in Oregon, naming the foreign nation that does the most trade with Oregon and guessing the cost of a quart of milk in Oregon.) Democrat Senators Dianne Feinstein and Hillary Clinton are just downright evil. Both of them are fanatic opponents of the Second Amendment. Curiously Feinstein got an extremely rare permit to carry a gun when she felt endangered after the assassination of San Francisco's Mayor, making her a hypocrite since she would deny that same Right to any of us "peasants."

Considering that Al Gore lost the state of Florida, Janet Reno's chance of success seems like a real long shot. The large Cuban community in Florida was clearly outraged over the Elian Gonzalez raid. Al Gore could claim that the raid was Bill Clinton's idea, but Janet Reno was intimately involved as Attorney General and can be considered much more to blame. Reno's involvement with the Waco massacre and her obstruction of justice to protect Clinton should alarm anyone, who has any sense of justice. Overall Reno's campaign for governor of Florida seems like a lost cause from the start. She's even been having trouble coming up with effective slogans. There's been no confirmation yet if Reno will go with the slogan "Vote Reno, Best Man for the Job."
